In 2018, Supreme Court gave a landmark judgment decriminalizing homosexual relationships in India. Set in 2016-17 New Delhi, The book covers the life of individuals before the historic judgment and the life of the community after the judgment. However, the problems stated are not limited to the draconian law but are a reflection of social evils that exist in society. One such phenomenon is the marriage of convenience which is taking place in India for decades due to a lack of acceptance of queer relationships and making heterosexuality a norm. Inspired by real stories, the book talks about how people opt for the marriage of convenience and who pays the price of such marriages.
